Experience the stunning scenery and unique topography of the Red Deer River badlands in the Drumheller area. They offer summer and winter tours. In the winter season snowshoe tours take place in the badlands around Drumheller and in the surrounding area. Guides are provided for training, safety and support and guide you as you traverse the badlands and surrounding area. In summer, Red Deer River Adventures offers guided kayak and canoe tours on the Red Deer River as well as hiking tours in the badlands. The region’s stunning scenery and unique geology, rich with fossils, can be explored on two-hour, half-day or full-day tours that follow the path of the dinosaur hunters through the Canadian Badlands in central Alberta. From the water, wildlife lovers can spot bald eagles, blue herons, pelicans, songbirds, deer, moose, beaver and the occasional coyote along the shore. Tours begin at several locations and shuttle service to designated pick-up and drop-off points is also available. Shuttle service for self-guided trips from one-day to multiple days in the region are also available.
