At the east end of the largest road-accessible lake in Alberta, Lesser Slave Lake Provincial Park offers kilometres of natural beach at Devonshire and Marten Rivers, green forested campsites, trails for walking and mountain biking and wildlife viewing opportunities. From the Marten River Campground and Marten Mountain Viewpoint, you can view the expanse of the huge Lesser Slave Lake stretching out on the western horizon. The Boreal Centre for Bird Conservation is the park visitor centre; it provides information services, programming, and interactive exhibits. Experience an old-growth forest on your walk to Lily Lake. In spring, calls of nesting songbirds ring through the high forest canopy throughout the park.
